The Champions League resumes Tuesday with Groups E, F, G, and H in action.

Benfica vs. Barcelona 2:45 PM ET

Benfica was unfortunate to tie the team that it needed to defeat. A 0-0 draw against Celtic is a dreadful start for Benfica who is likely staring at a defeat on Tuesday. Being home is helpful for them, but they do not matchup well against Barcelona. For their fortunes, the Catalonians have looked rather pedestrian since their 3-2 win over Spartak Moscow in the UCL. They have won every match to date in La Liga, but their last two required last second efforts to pull out the win. They looked weak against relegation side Granada and only won because of an 87th minute strike from Xavi and their 3-2 win over Sevilla on Sunday was the result of good fortunes, missed calls, and a controversial red card on Gary Medel of Sevilla. Benfica can hope for a tie, but a win is highly unprobable.

Prediction: Barca hasn't looked good of late but they know how and when to win. 2-1 Barcelona.

Spartak Moscow vs. Celtic 12 PM ET

Moscow had one hell of a match against Barcelona a few weeks ago and was just minutes from pulling out the win if not for Lionel Messi's heroics. Nonetheless this team showed poise and attacking threats that should serve them well against arguably the weakest team in the group. Emmanuel Emenike has been brilliant this season and should pot a few goals against Celtic. Celtic must not be discounted though as they are the top of the premier league and managed a draw against Benfica, who was supposed to win. They could shock Moscow, but playing on the road will be the biggest challenge for them.

Prediction: Moscow wins this but it won't be easy. 3-1 is the final score.
