A mystery woman has been revealed in the newest trailer of the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" movie. Can you guess who she is?
To be able to unlock new mysteries and plot details, many fans have tried analyzing the new trailer in detail. If you haven't watched it yet, then here it is:
It has been noticed that a mystery woman appeared during the 0:33 mark of the trailer. If you did not catch it, then play it again. In the video, the mystery woman who is inside a cave is dropping her robe off with her back facing the camera. Of course we still don't know her but here are some speculations about it.
Cinema Blend's Adam Holmes listed at least five characters who might be behind that robe. First on their list is Moondragon or Heather Douglas. In the comics, she was taken by the forces of Thanos and was trained to be a "living weapon." She is a martial artist and a telepath. Moondragon is also known for betraying Mentor, the father of Thanos, as she aimed to defeating the Mad Titan. Cinema Blend says the reason they think that the mystery woman was Moondragon was mainly because of her bald head.
Next on their list is Hela, known as the "Asgardian goddess of death." She is the ruler of the realms of Hel and Niffelheim. She was defeated by Thor when she attempted to also rule over Valhalla. With her defeat, she then vowed to pursue destroying Thor. However, Cinema Blend stressed that her appearance does not exactly mean that she is indeed real in the movie. It noted that this might just be the Scarlet Witch trying to create illusions.
Cinema Blend's report also suggested that the mystery woman could be Jocasta, which it described as "Marvel's version of Bride of Frankenstein." It noted that Jocasta's brain patterns were based on Janet van Dyne's, Dr. Hank Pym's wife. Jocasta was built by Ultron to be his wife. Since this was in the comics, it suggested that Ultron may also create Jocasta in the film.
It is also speculated that the mystery woman could be one of the Dora Milaje, bodyguards of Wakanada's leader Black Panther. Cinema Blend said it could possibly be one of the Dora Milaje due to the outfit the mystery woman in the trailer has. It described it as an "African-style" of clothing. It noted that even though the Black Panther is set to be seen in the "Captain America: Civil War," there is still a possibility that we get a glimpse of Wakanda in the new "Avengers" movie.
Lastly, Cinema Blend says this mystery woman could be an original character. Who knows? This might really be a new character suddenly appearing in the movie.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is a sequel to the first "Avengers" film which is considered as the "third highest-grossing film of all-time." It is based on the Marvel comic book series "The Avengers," which was first published in 1963.
The movie will again feature original cast members: Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye. Paul Bettany will portray the role of The Vision, Tom Hiddleston as the villain Loki, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill. There are also newcomers: Aaron Johnson as Pietro Maximoff and Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff. It will hit theaters on May 1.
