Could it be true. The poster child for Scientology is abandoning the mysterious religion.
Gossip mills blamed Scientology for Tom Cruise's divorce from wife of six years Katie Holmes.
Now, reports say Cruise is removing himself completely from community.
An insider tells The Times of India "Tom hasn't admitted that he's definitely leaving Scientology for good, but he's distanced himself from those in the church and has been hanging out with good friends who aren't part of the religion.
"He's finally seeing that being such an advocate for Scientology hasn't served him as well as he'd hoped it would," said the source.
Rumors also surfaced that after splitting up, Scientologists were stalking Holmes around New York City.
Interesting tidbit: Cruise has divorced his last three wives- Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and Holmes -all while they were 33 years old.
He has been involved with Scientology for decades. In recent years, Cruise has received tons of unfavorable press for his erratic behavior. Some attribute this to the firing of his long-time publicist and replacing her with his own sister, which he fired after one year.
The damage doesn't stop there.
People Magazine's latest cover story says Cruise has been estranged from his 6-year-old daughter Suri for two months.
"I've got to see her," Tom said, according to People. "I miss her."
Suri lives in New York City with her mother Holmes. The couple split in June.
Cruise is currently in London filming "All You Need Is Kill," but he's reportedly making time to date his former costar Cameron Diaz. The two box-office mega stars starred in "Vanilla Sky" and the action movie "Knight and Day".
Cruise's rep denied the claims to Us Magazine.
"It's false," she said. "They are friends."
