Ronda is a sadistic fighter which is why she is successful.
"Judo" Gene LeBell, legendary fight coach of UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, had an interview with Submission Radio where he shared his experiences training the latter. LeBell had known Rousey since she was a little girl.
LeBell said in a report by Fox Sports, "When she comes down to our place, which is in North Hollywood California, she does damn good with the men."
He added, "And when you fight her you don't have to be nice, I mean if you're a man. She'll break you up if she feels like it. She's got a good attitude. And when I say a good attitude, she's sadistic. And that I like."
LeBell himself previously dubbed himself as a "sadistic son of a bitch", a trait that the undefeated women's champ may also have adopted. She defeated her last two opponents in such a haste, winning against Sara McMann at 1:06 and against Alexis Davis at 0:16. Rousey is set to defend her title against Cat Zingano at UFC 184 in Los Angeles.
The 27-year-old Rousey is a judo medalist, just like her coach LeBell, based on a report by International Business Times. LeBell described her as "rowdy" because of the ferocity and aggressiveness she possesses during practice, whether she is fighting males or females. He said that aside from having natural talent for fighting, Ronda works very hard, which makes her "lucky" in the ring.
UFC President Dana White even went as far as saying that Rousey would beat undefeated boxer Floyd Mayweather in the Octagon. Fox Sports previously reported that Rousey discussed her intense focus when faced with new challenges and does everything in her power to be victorious in the end.
Rousey told Jim Rome in the Fox Sports report, "People ask me 'Do you think you can beat this person? Do you think you can beat that person?' and I always say, 'I'm not going to place limits on myself. I'm not going say I can't do something'. You can't tell me there's a string of circumstances and events that could lead to me not beating anyone."
When LeBell was asked if there was anybody who could beat Rousey, he replied that everybody can on a given day, which is why they have long shots of racing. He also added that he advised Rousey to retire while she is on top and focus on other projects like doing films to keep making money.
