Jamie Dornan has indeed prepared for his role in the much-awaited erotic romance movie "Fifty Shades of Grey."
According to E! Online, the Irish actor has put it into the next level to prepare himself for the Christian Grey role. So what exactly did he do?
E! Online citing the February issue of the Elle UK Magazine said that Dornan has revealed that he went to a "sex dungeon" for him to be able to get how it is to be a sex sadist.
"I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did...whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives," he was quoted as saying in the magazine.
"I was like: 'Come on guys I know I'm not paying for this but I am expecting a show.' It was an interesting evening. Then going back to my wife and newborn baby afterwards... I had a long shower before touching either of them," he added.
Earlier, Dornan told E! Online that he will not be showing his manhood in the upcoming movie as it was stipulated in the contract he signed.
"You want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without grossing them out...You don't want to make something gratuitous, ugly and graphic," he added.
When he was asked about his love scenes with Dakota Johnson who plays the lead role of Anastasia Steele, he dismissed the public's common notion that actors can get turn on during bed scenes on the set. He said that actors usually do not get a turned on as there are absolutely "dozens of hairy men" around the set. He said that he does not find it sexy that people get to watch him at those moments.
The "Fifty Shades" movie is based on the book series written by E.L. James. According to the movie's official website, the book is considered as "one of the biggest and fastest-selling book series ever." The trilogy was even translated into more than 50 languages worldwide.
The movie revolves around college student Anastasia Steele and handsome young businessman Christian Grey. The two met when Anastasia interviewed him for a school paper article. The two then started dating and engaged in sex, but with a non-disclosure and dominance and submission agreement.
Joining Dornan and Johnson in the cast are Luke Grimes as Elliot, Christian's brother; Victor Rasuk as José, Anastasia's close friend; Eloise Mumford as Kate, Anastasia's best friend and roommate; Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, Christian's mother; Rita Ora as Mia, Christian's sister; Max Martini as Taylor, Christian's bodyguard; Callum Keith Rennie as Ray, Anastasia's stepfather; Jennifer Ehle as Carla, Anastasia's mother; and Dylan Neal as Bob, Carla's husband.
It is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca, E.L. James, and Dana Brunetti. The screenplay is by Kelly Marcel. The movie will hit theaters on Valentine's Day next year.
