Manchester United is preparing for a big move involving Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale.
Express reported that Bale has been rumored in the past few weeks to be switched off from Real Madrid. Some speculated that he might be out of the club by the end of the season.
Manuel Esteban, a journalist from Spain reported, "Gareth Bale will not continue at Real Madrid. If they receive a big bid, they will not be hesitant."
Manchester United are allegedly very interested to acquire the 25-year-old Welshman, since they failed to sign him from Tottenham before he transferred to Madrid. United is said to be getting ready to pay £88 million for the acquisition.
However, Spanish football expert Graham Hunter shot down talks of the possibility. He said in a Sky Sports report, "They (Man Utd) have the budget, they tried to sign him, he turned them down when joining Real Madrid. It will not happen unless he goes to Real Madrid and says: 'Me and my family are not happy here.'"
Hunter continued, "But that is not the case at the moment, so I think for (now) United can forget it. In the future, maybe, but stories are just stories at the moment."
He added, "There is more to come from him. He is not playing as a complete team footballer at the moment - with all his duties - as he was last season, but he keeps winning them games. And if he does what he did last season and wins them more trophies, then why should he leave?"
In the same Express report, Colombian winger Juan Cuadrado may also be set to transfer to Manchester United and may move in January 2015 for £30 million. Furthermore, United may also be vying for midfielder Enzo Perez, after Benfica priced him at £25 million. In another Express report, United is also hoping to sign midfielder Ivan Rakitic, which could cost the club £20 million.
Daily Star reported that Cuadrado shared his unhappiness with Real Madrid. He is said to be unsatisfied with his playing time and wanted to have more minutes to showcase his skills. Metro reported that Cuadrado is aiming for Champions League football in the following season and does not believe that will be able to achieve with Fiorentina. His team had a bad start in the season and is currently at No. 8 in Series A. Aside from United, Barcelona is also interested in acquiring him.
