Jordan Melo M11: Pre-Order Details & Price - Where To Buy?

Jordan Brand celebrates Carmelo Anthony's 12th season in the NBA by introducing his 11th signature shoe.

Dubbed Jordan Melo M11, the signature shoe makes Carmelo the most tenured athlete of Jordan Brand. The shoe pays tribute to Carmelo's New York roots and will be available in four colorways namely Concrete Island, Jordan Family, Red Hook Sunset and Black/Gold.

Bleacher Report wrote that people from North America may start pre-ordering on December 15, 2014, but the shoes will be available on a global scale at Nike.com, Foot Locker, Flight Shop and selected retailers beginning January 3, 2015.

Nike News said that the Jordan Melo M11 follows Anthony's journey from his early beginnings in Red Hook until he became the team captain of the New York Knicks. The shoe is a commemoration of Anthony's accomplishments as one of the leading superstars in the league today. Throughout his 11 years with Jordan Brand, Carmelo accomplished many things as an NBA star such as being selected in the All-Star team seven times, being selected in the All-NBA six times, winning a couple of Olympic gold medals plus a league scoring title.

Melo said about the upcoming shoe in the same report by Nike News, "When it was time to talk to the designers about this year's model, I told them it was important for me to have a shoe that could keep my game fresh throughout the entire four quarters. Whether taking flight or landing, FlightPlate has great cushion, responsiveness and bounce."

He added, "It was essential that we incorporate how important New York City is to me," Anthony said. "It's where my basketball journey started, and there's no other city where I'd rather play the game."

The Jordan Melo M11 is the latest performance model of the brand, featuring its signature technology, the FlightPlate, which returns energy for added explosiveness and responsiveness on the court. The FlightPlate has a moderate plate positioned directly over the Nike Zoom unit at the forefoot to provide great cushioning. The upper is synthetic leather, which provides lightweight durability and excellent support, complete with perforations for ventilation. To give good lockdown, a webbed strapping system covers the foot. There is also an improved heel counter that links to the midsole to provide more strength to the collar.

Sneaker Bar Detroit reported that the Jordan Melo M11 "Christmas" will be priced at $170 upon release. As for the four colorways, the Red Hook is available for pre-ordering.
