Tim Tebow News: QB Not Dating Jana Duggar, Rep Says

Although believed to be a match made in heaven, Tebow-Duggar was not meant to be.

In a report by InTouchWeekly.com, the former Heisman Trophy winner is not dating Jana Duggar of "19 Kids & Counting". In fact, in a report by US Magazine, Tebow's representative said that Tim has never had an interaction with Jana saying, "Tim and Jana Duggar have never even met." 

Rumors about a budding romantic relationship between Tim, 27, and Jana, 24, started after Jim Bob and Michelle, Jana's parents, met Tim's mom, Pam Tebow at a speaking engagement in November 2014. Reportedly, the fundraiser was for Loving Choices Pregnancy Centers in Springdale, Arkansas. Pam Tebow was said to have been invited to the Duggar compound the following day. Jana's father, in particular, was very interested in matching his daughter with the former Denver Broncos quarterback.

Starcasm quoted an insider saying this about Jim Bob's interest in pairing Jana with Tim: "Tim would be a perfect addition to the family and a feather in his cap. Can you imagine the press attention a Tim-Jana wedding would get?"

Jim Bob said of his daughter, "Jana is one of the prettiest girls in the world and one of the sweetest girls... I have gone to hear about each one, and so far she hasn't felt that it is the way the Lord is leading."

He said in an article by Daily Mail, as told to People, however, that the final choice remains with his daughters, "I do not choose who my children marry."

Jana is the eldest daughter of the Duggar family and has a twin brother. In November, Jana confirmed that she is not dating anyone. Tim Tebow, on the other hand, is also single. He last dated actress Camilla Belle in 2012.

Fans were delighted to hear that there was a possibility between Tebow and Jana Duggar to date. According to UPI.com, the two have several things in common. First of all, they both belong to Christian families and are devout Christians themselves. Both are also admittedly virgins and intend to save their first kiss at the altar on their wedding day. Tebow is currently working as a sports analyst for the SEC Network of ESPN while Jana stars in the TLC reality series "19 Kids & Counting". Tebow previously shared the traits he wanted in a woman and has not been linked to anyone in two years.

After Tim's rep's statement, however, Tim might stay single for a while.
