The official Facebook page of the upcoming action thriller movie "Furious 7" is giving its excited fans a glimpse about some of the main and new characters in the movie. Just recently, it posted a photo of Jason Statham driving a car. The photo had a quotation which said, "You don't know me...but you're about to."
To give fans a hint of who he will be in the film, the photo was accompanied with a caption that said, "Remember Owen Shaw? This is his big, bad brother. #Furious7."
According to International Business Times, Jason Statham will play the role of Ian Shaw, Owen Shaw's brother. As it has been known that Owen was killed in the previous movie, Ian will serve as the main antagonist seeking revenge for his brother's death. He will target in the movie the gang of Dominic Toretto, which is being portrayed by Vin Diesel.
"Ian is the leader of a secret illegal street racing mob organization and Dom will confront him as he sets out to avenge Han. This will take them all the way to Tokyo where they will meet and race Sean Boswell, the drift king and a friend of Han," the International Business Times described the new character.
Statham has been mum about his role in the movie. He told the Entertainment Weekly earlier that he cannot talk about his role. "I'm sworn to secrecy. You know what they're like. Universal will kill me if I say anything. They really will...People think I'm gonna play the bad guy. People think I'm gonna be the villain. People don't really know what's comin', and I think there's something exciting about that. People are just dying to know what extent and what involvement I'm going to have in the movie. I think all good things come to those who wait," he was quoted as saying.
However, Statham revealed in the same interview that he enjoyed working with the film's cast and crew. He was quoted as saying, "[Vin] (Diesel) is terrific. Everybody in it is just terrific. They're a great little crew...I've met all of them, and they're all really cool. I'm really excited to be involved with it... I'm just not gonna tell ya what I'm gonna do."
When Vin Diesel was asked how was Statham doing, he said that he is "incredible" and "dedicated," the International Business Times reported citing E! Online.
Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce in the movie, meanwhile, was quoted by Enstars describing Statham as "bully," "cool," and "humble."
Other actors and actresses included in the movie are Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Lucas Black, Jordana Brewster, Djimon Hounsou, Kurt Russell, Tony Jaa, Dwayne Johnson, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Brotherton, and Iggy Azalea. Coming Soon said the movie directed by James Wan will hit theaters on April 3, 2015
