"The Avengers" actress Scarlett Johansson and French journalist Romain Dauriac have officially tied the knot, reports have confirmed.
An exclusive report published by Page Six on November 30 earlier said that the couple who were dating since 2012 and were engaged in August 2013 got married in a "very intimate ceremony" after the birth of their daughter, Rose. Page Six's unidentified source added that the two chose to kept the wedding a "big secret because they both wanted privacy."
According to a more detailed report of E! Online, the two got married on October 1 on a ranch in Philipsburg, Montana. Its unidentified source also revealed that the couple, together with their daughter, arrived in Montana a little earlier than their actual wedding day to relax and do some activities
"They went horseback riding on the trails on the ranch and hiked to the Top of the World mountain peak on the ranch where they saw beautiful views," an unidentified source told E! Online.
Aside from these, the couple also had a romantic dinner together in the Dining Room at The Granite Lodge and watched a rodeo show, the source also divulged to E! Online. The 30-year-old actress even sang the National Anthem during the rodeo show, the source said. After which, the couple attended a ranch barbecue for lunch with their daughter and other guests. A fireworks show followed later that night. The wedding happened the next day.
"They were really laid back and friendly and almost always had the baby...They were holding hands and hugging and smiling and flirting with each other. You could tell they were really happy," E! Online's insider was quoted as saying. The source also observed that Scarlett "seemed relaxed and happy."
Another E! Online report also revealed that Johansson was really waiting for their baby to be born before getting married. Richard J. Miller performed the "super-private" marriage ceremony, it added.
Earlier, a spokesman for the couple revealed that the two were not rushing to get married as they would like to savor the excitement of being engaged, Page Six said. The spokesman also said that the couple really prefers privacy as they do not want their daughter to "grow up in the spotlight."
Yahoo said that the rumors about the couple's wedding circulated after the 30-year-old actress was seen on November 18 wearing a new band on her finger -- "a simple, thin gold ring" which was "next to her Art Deco engagement sparkler."
Johansson earlier told the Access Hollywood that she will not do any planning for her wedding. "Oh, I don't plan anything. I'm terrible at planning...Yeah, I'm not gonna plan anything - I like to wing it!" she was quoted as saying.
Scarlett Johansson was earlier married to actor Ryan Reynolds but the two separated in 2010.
