Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Black/Gum’ Release Date, Price & Where to Buy

Another simple yet appealing colorway of the Air Jordan 1 is set to launch in the first week of December 2014.

In a report by Nike.com, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Black/Gum' is set to launch on December 6, 2014, Saturday at 8:00 a.m. EST. The label on the box describes the colorway as "Black/Gum Light Brown/Black". Nike.com will retail the sneakers at $140. There will be a one-pair-per-customer limit. The shoes will also be available in kid sizes from 3.5y to 7y, at a retail price of $100.

Nike.com reported that that Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Black/Gum' features a monochrome black leather upper and gum light brown outsole. The midsole is black, as well as the entire upper, including the shoelaces, tongue and insoles. The Swoosh, toe area, shoelace loops, ankle collar and heel portion of the shoes feature a black monochrome pattern, while the rest of the leather upper are solid black matte suede. The outsole features the unique Air Jordan 1 outsole pattern, which similar to the original pair, with the Nike logo at the center.

According to Sole Collector, the Air Jordan with wings logo is etched on the side of the ankle collar while the classic Nike Air logo tag is present on the tongue in gum light brown color. On the insole of the shoe, there is also the classic Nike Air logo printed in gum light brown against the black background. The perforations are still present on the toe area, which provides good ventilation. The stitching throughout the shoe is all black.

SneakerNews.com reported that the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Black/Gum' features a classic but attractive design due to the combination of the black chromatic leather panels and rugged matte suede on other select parts of the shoe. The all-gum outsole adds to the distinct look and rugged character of the shoe, making it ideal for casual wear. The shoe also features thicker laces, making it sportier to suit the original performance that the original Air Jordan 1 was made for. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG 'Black/Gum' will also be available at Flight Club, Foot Locker and House of Hoops by Foot Locker on a limited basis. Certain outlets of Foot Locker will be holding a raffle-type draw to provide opportunities to willing buyers to purchase a pair in their size.
