Several reports are saying that "The Avengers" actress Scarlett Johansson and French journalist Romain Dauriac have already tied the knot.
Page Six on Sunday, November 30, published an exclusive report claiming that the couple who were dating since 2012 and were engaged in August 2013 already got married. Citing an unidentified source, Page Six reported that the two married in "a very intimate ceremony" after the birth of their daughter, Rose. The source added that the two chose to kept the wedding a "big secret because they both wanted privacy."
Earlier, a spokesman for the couple revealed that the two are not rushing to get married as they would like to savor the excitement of being engaged. The spokesman also said that the couple really prefer privacy as they do not want their daughter to "grow up in the spotlight." But Page Six's July report said that the couple was overheard during a dinner thrown by Martha Stewart at the Hamptons saying that they would be married "very soon," or in "four weeks" to be exact.
Yahoo verified the rumors, reporting on Tuesday that a "clerk for Granite County" had confirmed that the couple indeed got married on October 1 in Philipsburg, Montana.
E! Online noted that Richard J. Miller performed the "super-private" marriage ceremony a month after the couple's daughter Rose was born. It also revealed that Johansson was really waiting for their baby to be born before getting married.
Yahoo said that the rumors about the couple's wedding circulated after the 30-year-old actress was seen on November 18 wearing a new band on her finger -- "a simple, thin gold ring" which was "next to her Art Deco engagement sparkler."
Johansson earlier told the Access Hollywood that she will not do any planning for her wedding. "Oh, I don't plan anything. I'm terrible at planning...Yeah, I'm not gonna plan anything - I like to wing it!" she was quoted as saying.
The actress was also quoted by Yahoo talking about her fiancé. She said that it is "easier" to be with someone not famous and that she loves that they are not into only one thing. "We do different things. He's in the whole art-scene world. So it's nice, because we can enjoy each other's worlds, but we don't have our crazy conflicting schedules and all that other stuff to contend with," she was quoted as saying. Scarlett Johansson was earlier married to actor Ryan Reynolds but the two separated in 2010.
The camp of Johansson has not yet confirmed or commented on these reports.
