It seems like "Furious 7" star Michelle Rodriguez is taking a break from acting for a while.
Due to her previous "heartbreaks" and to the death of her friend and "Furious 7" co-star Paul Walker, Michelle has decided to "take the year out," the London Evening Standard reported. The actress is known as the ex-girlfriend of British supermodel Cara Delevingne. It has also been reported that she dated actor Zac Efron.
"This year has been too much and I need some time out...I've been working hard and now I want time off. That's what I do. Work hard, play hard. I don't think that's much to ask or want," she was quoted by the London Evening Standard as saying.
The 36-year old actress known for her roles in the movies "Resident Evil" and "Machete," said that she does not do anything right now but she is planning to do other projects such as writing for film and television.
"I don't have anything in the pipeline at the moment. I'm free. I had so much heartbreak last year that I am taking a year off to do something different, like write. I don't know what yet - maybe movie scripts or TV shows but something creative as that's my passion. I've wanted to do it for a while and now would be great," she was quoted.
She said she finds it "awesome" to see her work on the big screen or on TV and that she herself would want to see the results of her work and career. The London Evening Standard said that Rodriguez made these statements during the launch of the 2015 Pirelli Calendar in Milan, Italy.
Last month, the actress was seen in Milan wearing an "unflattering white leggings," pink leather jacket, grey scarf and boots with her Italian model friend Afef Jnifen and film producer Mohammed Al Turki, the Daily Mail reported.
On Sunday, November 30, Michelle posted a photo of Paul Walker on Twitter with the caption, "I love you Paul. Your living in the hearts of all who love you for sure. Sending mad love out to Heaven @SupportROWW." The post is to commemorate the death of the actor.
In light of Walker's death, singer Tyrese Gibson also took to Twitter to commemorate Walker's death posting a photo of them. He captioned it: "A celebration of Paul William Walker will be echoed around the world. https://bit.ly/1vBA5y9." Rapper Ludacris meanwhile posted Walker's photo on Instagram and captioned it, "Always in our hearts. Can't believe it's been a year already. You spirit will be felt in volumes across the world forever #fast7april3rd #rip."
Walker will star in the upcoming movie "Furious 7" with Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Vin Diesel, Djimon Hounsou, Kurt Russell, Tony Jaa, Dwayne Johnson, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Brotherton, and Iggy Azaela. Coming Soon said the movie which is directed by James Wan will hit theaters on April 3 next year.
