"Dream Big." This is the tagline of the upcoming movie "Peanuts" which is based on the comic strip of Charles Schulz.
PEANUTS (@Snoopy) on Wednesday, November 26, unveiled on Twitter the official poster of the movie. It had the caption, "Life is better when you #DreamBig! #PeanutsMovie." The tweet, as of press time, has earned over a thousand retweets and over 1,500 favorites.
In the poster, we see Snoopy lying on his red doghouse. He is accompanied by his closest friend bird named Woodstock. Woodstock is lying on Snoopy's chest. It also indicated that the movie will hit theaters in November 2015.
Paul Feig, one of the movie's producers, introduced the voices behind the movie on the morning show "Today" on Thursday, November 27. He posted a photo on Twitter which was accompanied by a caption, "Just introduced the talented kids who will be the voices of the #PeanutsMovie on @TODAYshow. Thanks, @NMoralesNBC!"
Another photo tweeted by Peanuts showed the cast list of the movie. The cast includes Noah Schnapp who voiced Charlie Brown, Alex Garfin as Linus van Pelt, Hadley Miller as Lucy van Pelt, Mariel Sheets as Sally Brown, Noah Johnston as Schroeder, Venus Schulthens as Peppermint Patty, Rebecca Bloom as Marcie, AJ Teece as Pig-Pen, Mar Mar as Franklin, William Wunsch as Shermy, Anastasia Bredichna as Patty, Madisyn Shipman as Violet, and Francesca Capaldi as the Little Red Haired Girl.
Bill Melendez voiced Snoopy and Woodstock, as revealed by IMDb cast list. It added that the movie is directed by Steve Martino. It is produced by Paul Feig, Bryan Schulz, Craig Schulz, Michael J. Travers, and Cornelius Uliano. The music is by Christophe Beck. Cinematography is by Renato Falcão while art direction is by Nash Dunnigan.
Aside from Charles Schulz, Cornelius Uliano, Craig Schulz and Bryan Schulz were also included in the writing credits.
According to the plot summary provided by 20th Century Fox to IMDb, this is the "first time ever" that "Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the gang we know and love from Charles Schulz's timeless 'Peanuts' comic strip will be making their big-screen debut."
The release date for the movie was earlier scheduled on November 25, 2015 to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the comic strip and the 50th anniversary of the TV special "A Charlie Brown Christmas," Deadline reported. But was moved by 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios to an earlier date of November 6, Huffington Post said.
The official trailer of "Peanuts" was released on November 18. The trailer centers on the idea, "Never stop dreaming big." It claims that "the movie event the world has been dreaming of comes to life." As of press time, the video has earned over 1.4 million views and more than 10,000 likes.
