When you're heir to not only the Kennedy fortune but to the Schwarzenneger riches as well, you bet there will be a lot of issues as to who you're dating - reputation counts for a lot after all. This could be the reason that it comes to no surprise that Patrick Schwarzenegger's mom, Maria Shriver, is not impressed with Miley Cyrus and the wild party the pop star threw for her 22nd birthday.
Hollywood Life reported that despite Miley's efforts to fit in with boyfriend Patrick's family, she blew her chances when her out-of-control birthday bash - complete with a penis-shaped mechanical bull - upset Maria.
A source for the website said, "The birthday party with all the penis pictures disgusted her. That was the worst thing Miley could have done. Maria is very, very worried about the influence Miley's having on Patrick. She fully believes that you become who you surround yourself with and she's always been so happy with the friends Patrick chooses, she never saw this coming."
The Independent also noted that Maria is planning to speak with her son about his relationship. A source said, "She is absolutely not okay with him dating Miley. It's getting really messy now. It's got her very upset."
The source also added that, "Maria is planning have a one on one with Patrick over the holidays because she wants to talk some sense into him."
However, despite Maria's disapproval, Patrick is smitten with his girl. A separate source told Hollywood life that, "Miley has been his celebrity crush forever, so he is now living a dream come true. She is so cool and he loves hanging out with her. They have so much fun together."
While the rumors about Maria's disapproval have been running rampant, there were also reports telling the story differently. The Epoch Times said that Star Magazine reported Miley to be slowing down with the partying, with a source telling the magazine that, "Miley has slowed down the partying. Patrick's very healthy - so that has definitely rubbed off on her. Everyone is so excited for them. Their families think they are the cutest couple."
Us Magazine also reported that things are going well for the new lovebirds, a source telling the magazine that, "Miley and Patrick were hugging and dancing together," and noting that Patrick "blended in well and was with her much of the time."
