Singer Rita Ora has revealed that her role as Christian Grey's sister Mia in the much-awaited erotic romance movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" has opened more career opportunities for her.
Although Rita only had a small role in the film, she admitted that her role has paved the way for her to have an acting career. "For me this was such a great cameo to be involved in, and even though I'm only in it for a little bit, it's opened the door to a lot of movie things that I haven't actually announced yet," the 23-year old singer was quoted as saying by the British newspaper Mirror citing the British magazine OK!.
She revealed that she has been receiving a lot of calls and offers to portray more roles. "It was nice to be a part of it and it opened a lot of doors. I mean, definitely more roles. People have been calling a lot," she said.
The "I Will Never Let You Down" singer also promised "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans that the movie will be awesome."
"Everyone is going to have their own opinions. But 'Fifty Shades' is going to make a lot of waves, I'll tell you that much. It's going to be awesome. I've seen the film but you'll have to make up your own opinion on that - but you can expect a lot of goodness," she was quoted as saying by Mirror.
An earlier report from Metro said that Rita had admitted that she got nervous during the filming of the movie causing her to forget her lines. To quote her, "I had to have someone in my ear on set telling me what to say before I said it because I was honestly like so nervous I forgot everything that I had learnt."
The "Fifty Shades" movie is based on the book series written by E.L. James. According to the movie's official website, the book is considered as "one of the biggest and fastest-selling book series ever." The trilogy was even translated into more than 50 languages worldwide.
Actors to star in the movie include Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele. Also included are Luke Grimes as Elliot, Victor Rasuk as José, Eloise Mumford as Kate, Marcia Gay Harden as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, Max Martini as Taylor, Callum Keith Rennie as Ray, Jennifer Ehle as Carla, and Dylan Neal as Bob.
It is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Michael De Luca, E.L. James, and Dana Brunetti. The screenplay was by Kelly Marcel. It will hit theaters on Valentine's Day next year.
The movie revolves around college student Anastasia Steele and handsome young businessman Christian Grey. The two met when Anastasia interviewed him for a school paper article. The two then start dating and engage in sex but with a non-disclosure and dominance and submission agreement.
