Selena Gomez David Henrie Dating? Spotted on a Dinner Date

When Selena Gomez decided that she's done with Justin Bieber, she did not take long to get in his face about the fact that she can get any man she wants, and this time, she made sure that he's able to find out that she went to that date with former "Wizards of Waverly Place" co-star, David Henrie.

The Daily Mail said that the pair dined at the romantic Il Cielo Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills and was later reported to have recorded themselves singing to a Carrie Underwood song on Instagram.

But why David?

According to Hollywood Life, it's more platonic than romantic, with a source for the website, saying, "Selena and David went out together and it was something that Selena set up and planned. She wanted to go out and have a night with someone who wouldn't cause any stress or drama. She misses her Wizards family and she wanted to just get some time with David whom she hasn't seen in awhile. It was a nice dinner and allowed Selena to feel normal. She can trust David and she needed this time with him. It was not romantic at all."

The source also added, "They were talking the whole time. They were very comfortable with each other, but no one in the restaurant had any idea who he was. Many people assumed he was her handler. There was no sign of PDA or romantic attractiveness at all. It was almost like a business meeting. But now, knowing that they were cast mates, you could tell they had a mutual appreciation for each other and were having a good time. But this wasn't a date at all."

But even though it's not a date, another source for the website said, "Selena could have kept this dinner quiet but she wanted Justin to know about it. She knows Justin is always jealous when she hangs out with David and she knows it gets to him."

Despite Selena going all out to make the Biebs jealous, she is still in good terms with her ex. In Touch Weekly noted that Selena said, "I support him. I think I always will. I'm upset when he's upset, I'm happy when he's happy."

With Justin out of the picture, however, should Selena be dating someone like David for real? They do look cute together and they've been friends for a while. David could possibly bring more balance to a relationship with the singer.
