Jeremy Lin's Harvard education was not enough to come up with a single full sentence to describe the Los Angeles Lakers' 1-9 start.

According to Deadspin.com, a video was shown which featured the Lakers point guard in the locker room being interviewed. It seemed like he was just asked about his thoughts on the Lakers' terrible start, to which he answered, "I-I don't... it's... you know like..." He smirked before concluding, "Uh, aww man, it's..." His eyes were moving constantly, looking around the room but absently.

Jeremy Lin had zero points, two rebounds and one assist while playing 22 minutes on November 16, 2014 against the Golden State Warriors. The Splash Brothers decimated the Lakers with a final score of 136-115.

In a report by LA Times, other Lakers had things to say. Coach Byron Scott threatened to bench lazy defenders. He said that players were not giving full effort on the court and that his patience was running thin. Scott said, "It has nothing to do with execution."

Carlos Boozer, who scored 6 points, commented that the Lakers needed to balance their offense. "It's tough, man. We've got to find a balance between the two. It can't be lopsided. We've got to find a balance for us to be successful.

Kobe Bryant scored 44 points but is quickly shooting his way to becoming the top player in NBA history to have the most missed shots in his career. Bryant said in the same LA Times report, "I'd rather not have to do that, but you can't just sit back and watch a crime happen in front of you. I'm more than willing to sit back. If you think I want to shoot as many times or be as aggressive at 36 years old, you're freaking crazy."

Bleacher Report that Bryant had an explanation why Golden State managed to score 74 points in the in the first half. He said, "They came out and knocked down shots and put us in a hole pretty quick. I'd rather get guys involved early. That's always the intent. But when you go down 10-12 points in the hole, man, I've got to try to keep us in the ballgame at some point."

He said about the progressing NBA season, "It's on me. Things go good, it's us. Things go bad, it's me. That's the responsibility of being in this seat."

In a report by USA Today, Lin eventually formulated coherent statements, saying, "It's such a deep-rooted issue. There' so many things wrong right now. At the top of the list I would say communication, trust and effort."
