Robin Williams is very much alive - at least in the just-released film posters of the "Night of the Museum: Secret of the Tomb," the third installment to the comedy adventure movie series.
20th Century Fox has released 10 character posters of the "Night of the Museum 3" in time for the film's December 19 release that featured Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and the late Robin Williams among others, reports Movieweb.
Robin Williams has played the role of Teddy Roosevelt in the two previous "Night of the Museum" movies. He reprised his role once again on the third installment and completed filming his scenes before he died on August 11.
Movieweb details that in addition to Stiller, who will be playing dual role as Larry the museum security officer and caveman Laa, Owen Wilson as Jedediah, and Williams who once again played Roosevelt, other cast members included in the released character posters include: Rebel Wilson as Tilly, Steve Coogan as Octavius, Rami Malek as Ahkmenrah, Ben Kingsley as Merenkhare, Ricky Gervais as Dr. McPhee, Dan Stevens as Sir Lancelot, and Patrick Gallagher as Atilla.
Directed by Shawn Levy, "Night of the Museum 3" details of the new epic quest of Larry to save the museum's magic from disappearing forever, hints Coming Soon.net.
The movie includes all the main characters from the previous two adventures, along with a few new heroes and villains, points out Movieweb.
"Get ready for the wildest and most adventure-filled 'Night of the Museum' ever as Larry spans the globe, uniting favorite and new characters while embarking on an epic quest to save the magic before it is gone forever," describes Coming Soon.net.
"The entire gang must head to London to restore the tablet that provides these (museum) attractions with their powers before it is too late. (In the process) Larry finds himself, alone in the world without any friends," added Movieweb.
British Touch
Because a good part of the film was shot in London, the movie was even 'honored' during the Christmas Tree lighting event at Regent Street on Sunday, November 16, to mark the holidays, reports the Mirror.
British band Take That, composed of Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald, formally turned the switch on to the Christmas lights on Regent Street in an event which has been themed around "Night of the Museum 3: Secret of the Tomb," details the report.
The Take That band members were assisted by Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston who served as hosts during the event at Regent, added the Mirror.
