Taylor Swift really does love her fans. When she visited Northhaven, Connecticut on Thursday, it was more than just for a cup of coffee and an impromptu pictorial with fans, she went to surprise one fan in particular, and it just goes to show just how big her heart is.
According to E! News, Taylor made a surprise visit to a fan, Stephanie Barnett, who she first connected with on social media a few years ago. Back then, Barnett said that Taylor's music has helped her through a very emotional time in her life: she was having a hard time getting pregnant.
Recently though, one of Stephanie's posts got Taylor's attention, and she decided to drop by to check in on her fan.
Stephanie reportedly said, "She saw a picture of my son with a little story I had written for her and she saw it and since then she has just been really sweet about him."
She went on to gush, "I open the door and she's like, 'Hey, Steph!' and it's just her right there, and I lost it, I lost it for a while."
E! News added that Stephanie was touched when the star came bearing gifts, which included a toddler-sized Mercedes for Stephanie's 2-year-old son, Leyton, and although it is not the first time that Taylor is reported to have surprised her fans randomly, Stephanie was blown away by the star, explaining, "She went to FAO Schwartz and got a bunch of stuff for Leyton. The car was so big, she's like, 'I don't know how to ship it, so I thought I'd bring it over.' And I was like, who does that? It's incredible.
"She's unbelievable. The things she does for her fans, and she's a really amazing person. She's gotten a lot of people through so much more than anyone can imagine. I was literally bawling on my couch, like, inconsolably, that she would do this for me and my son."
NBC Connecticut reported that the singer spent about two hours with the family before she went on to the Starbucks nearby to grab a cup coffee. There she met more fans and stayed with them for about ten minutes, taking photos with them.
Gifts and fan surprises aside, Taylor is busy doing a promotional tour for her latest album, "1989," and is also trying to settle an issue with Spotify. The singer recently took off her catalog from the music streaming service and is in a heated argument about royalties and other monetary claims against the digital music service.
