It isn't an uncommon concept for Taylor Swift to dominate the world wide web every once in a while. And so, one wouldn't be so surprised to know that Swift's latest music video for her new song off the new album "1989" called "Blank Space" is making its internet rounds. The playful and witty music video tells a story about a wealthy girl who lives in a big beautiful house with her lover where everything is happy and romantic. The video takes a violent turn when Taylor catches her man texting another girl which then transformed the sweet country girl to a mad and obsessive woman destroying lots of expensive stuff in and out of the mansion.
Though many people found the video entertaining and funny as it pokes fun on all the impressions that the public have on Taylor's real dating life, a sports contributor at SB Nation, on the other hand, sees the video in a different way.
In the critique of the video based on sporting aspects, Matt Ufford claims that the music video reveals one thing about Taylor. He concluded that "Taylor Swift is bad at sports."
First, he said that Taylor is not a good cyclist.
He argues that riding a bicycle inside a mansion is a "no challenge" and may not give any benefits to her as this cannot be considered an exercise. He also said that it shows that Taylor has no regard if she drops some vases or if she leaves dirt on the floor.
Second, Taylor definitely does not know where to place her horses.
In the video, horses were seen inside Taylor's room. Ufford claims that that is not the right place for the horses, calling such move as "wildly irresponsible."
He however praised Taylor's capability to ride her horse. "Okay, so she's a poor stable keeper -- that doesn't make her a poor equestrienne," he noted. In the video, Taylor was seen doing an awesome stunt -- standing on her horse.
He then starts to criticize the pop singer, saying that the stunt was not a good example to kids and young people. He said that that was not even a technique in equestrian as it is obviously dangerous.
"I don't want my children idolizing some me-first glory-jockey who only cares about ghost-riding her horses," he said.
Third, Taylor is not a golfer.
In the video, Taylor is seen hitting her lover's car with a pitching wedge. Ufford said that Taylor does not have a good form and does not know how to swing. He even suggested that she should've consulted Carrie Underwood about this.
Fourth, Taylor does not know how to chop wood.
In the video, we saw Taylor getting really mad at her lover so she starts to cut a tree where she imprinted a heart that contains her and his name.
Ufford called it the "worst wood-chopping." He even assailed Taylor's outfit, saying that it is not the appropriate lumberjacking attire.
Lastly, Taylor is not a hunter. She does not even know where to place her pets. In the video, she was seen in the house with a deer.
"Girl, there is a deer in your house. Stop writhing by the fireplace and take care of the goddamn hoofed mammals running wild in chateau des ungulates. Do not tell me that the deer is a metaphor. You clearly need to get a hunting license and -- oh dear god. No. never mind," he ended.
