All those updates about Bruce Jenner's alleged journey to sex change were not lost on the ex-Olympian's mother, Esther Jenner. Recently, she opened up about reports of her son undergoing a feminine transition.
"I've brought this up to him on the phone and he says, 'Mum, you can't believe this stuff.' I said: 'Well, I want to tell you one thing, Bruce, it's not going to change my love for you,'" Bruce's mom candidly told New Idea.
"That's exactly how I feel, but I don't like it. I love him, no matter what," she added.
When asked about the former athlete caught on camera sporting pink nails, Esther said: "I don't know what to think!"
Some of us didn't know either, Mrs. Jenner. It's great to know, however, that the Jenner matriarch chooses to love her son no matter what.
She also touched on the subject of Bruce's hair, NineMSN noted, saying, "I hate his hair! I tell him it's ugly. That it's ridiculous. I said, 'You know, Bruce, you just turned 65 and you're wearing your hair like you're a teenage rebel'. He laughed, just cracked up. He doesn't pay attention to me. He's always been single-minded and independent."
Esther also mentioned that she's pleased that he has finally separated from Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner.
"I hope Kris changes her name back to Kardashian. I don't want her to carry the [Jenner] name," she quipped.
Looks like she isn't one of those eager to get the momager's autograph.
In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Esther said that she agrees to reports that said Kris is a controlling person.
"I don't know why she is. I don't think she treated anybody very well," she went on to say. "She could insult you with a big smile on her face, I know. What do you do with a person like that? You're going to avoid them if possible. She was backstabbing as far as my grandchildren were concerned, and that is something I can't stand."
"She's domineering - it's do it her way, or there's no way. I had very little to do with Kris. I stayed away from her as much as I could," Bruce's mom cotninued.
She also said that her son is "ecstatically happy" about being free from Kris.
"When I talk to him I can hear it in his voice and he's spending a lot more time with his kids," she observed. "I don't think he's a bit lonely. He seems like he's himself again."
Does this include giving his feminine side free rein? Watch this space for more updates in the coming weeks.
