Jordan 1 Retro High 'Black/ White' Release Date & Price: Where to Buy?

Another great colorway of the beloved Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is set to be released.

On November 8, at 8:00 a.m. EST, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Black/White" will be launched at a retail price of $140. The sneakers will be available on a full size run but limited to only one pair per customer.

Stores that will have the shoes available include Foot Locker, Flight Club, House of Hoops by Foot Locker, Nike.com and Eastbay.com. Foot Locker will be holding a sweepstakes ticket process for buyers to avail the shoes. 

According to Nike.com, one word that can best describe the upcoming colorway is "classic". The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG features simple and understated black and white colors. The shoe is actually very close to the "1/22 Countdown Pack" that might also be released in the future.

In a report by Sole Collector, the upcoming shoe and the featured 1/22 version in 2008 are also strikingly similar. There are differences between the two versions particularly on the detail on the Nike Air tongue tag and the midsole stitching.

SneakerBarDetroit.com revealed that the box of the pair reads, "Black/Black-White". The outsole is black and features the classic traction pattern that all Air Jordan 1 Retros have. The midsole is white with also white stitching. The upper features black and white leather, while the toe and heel areas are black, together with the shoelaces. The sides and upper toe area are white. The toe part also features perforations for ventilation. The tongue is white as well as the insole and Air Jordan logo. The inner lining is also black.

Sneaker News writes that the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Black and White" will also include a pair of white shoelaces. The shoes were mainly considered a basketball shoe in 1985 when Michael Jordan first wore these. Over the decades, these became a classic casual shoe among sneaker collectors. The leather material makes it very durable and the traction pattern on the outsole makes it great for balling indoors and outdoors. The high-top design also provides a secure fit, particularly the collar that comfortable wraps the ankles.
