Michael Jordan is taking social media by storm as the Charlotte Hornets return to action in the NBA.
In a report by Fansided.com, the basketball legend has been posting a lot of photos and even trash-talked back to golfer Keegan Bradley. He took a selfie to prove to fans that it was indeed him behind all the online action. Jordan took photos and updates on the developments of the recently renewed Charlotte Hornets.
Most notably, his team's account @hornets, shared several Air Jordan sneakers in the team's teal and purple colorway.
In a report by Washington Post, Jordan bought the Charlotte Bobcats in 2010 and the team recently went back to its old name for the start of the 2014-2015 NBA season. The Hornets played their first game of the season on October 29, 2014 at 7 p.m. against the Milwaukee Bucks and Jordan has been sharing a number of Hornet-related items exclusively given to him.
He took a photo of a coffee mug, a tuxedo T-shirt and commemorative ticket for opening night and posted, "Special perks of being owner, already got my commemorative ticket and shirt for opening night." He frequently used the hashtag #MJTakeover when posting updates on social media.
Past midnight on October 29, 2014, MJ again took a photo of his signature Air Jordan shoes, featuring the Charlotte Hornet colors. He tweeted, "Do you think I am serious about the new Hornets colors? #HornetsJs #MJTakeover"
Sneakerheads noticed a number of familiar models featuring the special colorway. The shot had the Air Jordan 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and more in white, teal and purple.
