The New York Daily News said in its report that "The View" studio audience "cheered wildly" upon hearing Taylor Swift's announcement.

Taylor also revealed in her "The View" appearance that she loves New York, as reported by the New York Daily News. It added that the pop singer is originally from Pennsylvania but she was named as "New York City's Global Welcome ambassador" earlier this week.

In the show, Taylor also thanked her fans for their support to her new album.

"I don't think I told anybody this before, but the fans were wonderful enough to make it No. 1 on iTunes," she was quoted as saying by The New York Daily News.

"It's selling really well - which is good, because I'm donating all of my proceeds to New York City public schools," Taylor Swift said confirming the success of her latest album.

ABC News cited in its report the singer's appearance on morning television show "Good Morning America," where the singer said that she loves the "amazing" city of New York.

ABC News quoted Taylor saying, "I'm still learning but I'm so enthusiastic about this city. I feel like when I love something, I'm very vocal about it."

"I just go around going like, 'Everybody, New York is amazing.' So I think they just picked up on that and they gave me, like, a title," Taylor told the show, as reported by ABC News.

Taylor Swift proudly revealed in GMA that her latest pop album is the "best thing she have done," ABC News report said. "So to have people able to finally have it now and to have the fans understand what I've been working on for two years, it's just the most amazing feeling," Taylor was again quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Devora Kaye, the spokeswoman of the Department of Education, said that they "deeply" appreciate Taylor's "kind gesture," as reported by the New York Daily News. Kaye was also quoted in the report saying that they are "looking forward to working together [with Taylor Swift] to make schools great."
