Lebron 12 ‘Heart of a Lion’ Release Date & Price: Where to Buy?

The latest colorway of the LeBron 12 is set to release just in time for the start of the NBA regular season.

According to OregonLive.com, Nike announced on October 1, 2014 that the LeBron 12 will not be released as originally scheduled due to "cosmetic issues". A number of blogs speculates that the "issue" was probably brought about by LeBron's transfer from Miami to Cleveland and his jersey number shift from 6 to 23.

In the same Oregon Live report, the LeBron 12 "Heart of a Lion" will be available at Nike.com at a retail price of $200. It is also open for customizations via NikeID for $245.

In a report by Footlocker.com, the highly anticipated sneakers will be officially released on October 30, 2014 in North America and China, at around 8:00 a.m. EDT. The "HRT of a Lion" is inspired by the superstar's untamed play and his fearlessness and aggression on the basketball court that resembles a lion. LeBron is the epitome of mental and physical toughness and shows a lot of passion and heart whenever he plays.

The latest colorway is described as "University Red/Black-White-Hyper Crimson" on the box. Sneaker News details that the upper is made of university red engineer mesh and hyperfuse. The body is white while the FlightPlate, lacelocks and inner lining are black. The shoelaces and tongue are varsity red.  The midsole is icy blue. The outsole also features the new Nike Hexagon cushioning system. The cushioning system has five separate zoom bags based on LeBron's own foot pressure points to ensure that it can support the forward's explosive style and give stable and comfortable landings every time.

Nike.com reported that the Lebron 12 'HRT of a Lion' is built to provide flexibility, support and cushioning for fast and powerful players like James. The shoe was made specifically to combine these three benefits.

Nike.com also adds that the Lebron 12 'Heart of a Lion' will be available in full family sizing. It will not be available for phone orders on the website but willing buyers can follow @nikestore on Twitter to follow the countdown. The LeBron 12 GS is available at $160. The preschool sizes are available at $90 and the toddler sizes are available at $60. The shoes will also be available at Footlocker.com, Eastbay.com and House of Hoops by Foot Locker. Accessories following the same color scheme will also be available.
