Madison Bumgarner continued to stay strong in the World Series, helping the San Francisco Giants lead 3-2 against the Kansas City Royals after Game 5 on October 26.
Game 6 is set to happen on October 28 at the Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City at 8:07 p.m. ET. Live streaming will be available on Stream2Watch.com.
In a report by MLB.com, the Giants are highly favored to win the World Series overall, becoming three-time champions in a span of five years. The Royals will try to either delay San Francisco or win two straight games to prevent a dynasty from forming. The Royals will primarily have the advantage of playing at home.
Manager Ned Yost remains positive that Kansas City can pull off a victory, in the same report by MLB.com. He said, "Our guys aren't afraid of walking the tightrope without a net. We fall off, and we're dead. But we win Tuesday, nobody's got a net. It's going to be winner-take-all."
Based on history, teams that are down 3-2 but play at home in a 2-3-2 format have a 13-16 all-time record. Underdog MLB teams managed to win overall eight out of 10 times, the most recent being the St. Louis Cardinals in 2011. The Royals last overcame the odds in the 1985 World Series. As far as Game 6 is concerned, only four teams who played on the road won since 1980, in the same report by MLB.com.
In a report by ABC News, it was also quite dramatic how the Royals began the postseason with a comeback win of 9-8 in 12 innings against the Oakland Athletics in the AL wild-card game.
In the same ABC News report, San Francisco is eyeing to close the World Series on Tuesday night.
Jake Peavy of the Giants said, "We're trying to grind this thing out, the way we have for what feels like forever now. Not even sure of the date, the day. Doesn't matter."
Yordano Ventura, a Royals rookie, will be facing off against the veteran Peavy.
Bleacher Report wrote that the San Francisco Giants would get the advantage by scoring early against the starters of Kansas City. They have a bigger chance of winning if they get to knock out starting Royals and penetrate the weaker players in their bullpen. Scoring early also means that the Giants may no longer have to face Herrera, Davis and Holland, who caused them some trouble in Game 5.
