Keanu Reeves may have indirectly offered himself as the next Cape Crusader should the movie "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" make good at the tills on March 25, 2016 and necessitates a sequel. And that is, if Ben Affleck would no longer agree to don The Dark Knight's uniform in the still hypothetical sequel.

In an interview with Moviefone last week, a few days before his latest film "John Wick" hit the theaters this past weekend, Reeves said he missed playing the part of a superhero in his film career.

"I always wanted to play Wolverine. But I didn't get that. And they have a great Wolverine now. I always wanted to play The Dark Knight. But I didn't get that one. They've had some great Batmans. So now I'm just enjoying them as an audience," explains the 50-year-old actor.

Reeves has had a string of box office hits under his belt in his remarkable Hollywood career. But his biggest claim to movie fame is "The Matrix" trilogy, which went on to become the most successful action franchises in Hollywood history, details the Inquisitr.

The successful superhero franchises Batman or Wolverine could have catapulted Reeves' career to even more glorious heights no doubt.

But for now, the actor is content striving to build yet another successful movie franchise that has marks all his own. Inquisitr thinks Reeves may have something with the next instalment to the upcoming "Bill and Ted" movie.

"John Wick" made good at the box office during its first weekend, the Inquisitr noted.

Batman vs. Superman Updates

Meanwhile, filming for the "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" is about to wrap up its brief shoot in East Lansing, Michigan, reports the Lansing State Journal.

The movie is said to be on its final leg of shooting at Michigan State University Campus this week and will likely move to other states in November for the next set of filming, the report added.

Screen Rant details the cast of characters of the movie led by Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jason Momoa as Aquaman/Arthur Curry, and Gel Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman.

The Warner Bros superhero epic also features a long list of supporting cast including veteran actors Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, and Holly Hunter as a US Senator, adds IMDb.

More than two years before its official release, Warner Bros has already released its trailer as early as February this year. Watch it.
