Brock Lesnar WWE: Dana White Wants UFC Comeback?

UFC president Dana White shared that he would welcome former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar into the Octagon.

In a report by MMA Fighting, Cain Velasquez was recently declared out of the main event at UFC 180 in November 2014 and White is looking for a potential replacement in Lesnar.

White said in a report by UFC.com, "I have a great relationship with Brock, we talk all the time. I don't know, we'll see. If he wants to fight, he knows my number." He added, "It's pretty amazing what he did and accomplished here while having diverticulitis. It would be interesting to see a 100 percent healthy Brock Lesnar compete."

According to MMAJunkie.com, Lesnar was diagnosed with diverticulitis during his competitive days in the UFC, which was tagged as life-threatening. He gave up his title to Cain Velasquez at UFC 121 after dealing with diverticulitis. At UFC 141, he lost to Alistair Overeem via knockout and announced his retirement afterwards. The 37-year-old had a 5-3 career record during his retirement. After Overeem defeated Frank Mir, he called out Lesnar to fight him again, spurring talks that Brock might return to the ring. Lesnar is currently back in the WWE on a limited contract.

Furthermore, Jim Ross and Paul Heyman of the WWE shared their sentiments on a possible return by Lesnar. Heyman announced that Brock went through a physical resurgence. Jim Ross added that Brock looked a lot better at present, telling Fox Sports, "It looks to me like he's gotten back on track. He looks phenomenal strength-wise. He's just scary looking. He's more scary looking than he was before he left [WWE the first time]. ... I see no reason he couldn't have the potential to return to the UFC and sell pay-per-views."

Ross also added on the same report that Brock has to make the crucial decision to either re-sign with the WWE where he is currently the world heavyweight champion, return to the Octagon or bid goodbye to UFC. "Creatively from a strategic standpoint, WWE will need to find out sooner rather than later if Brock is interested in re-signing or not," Ross said. "I could identify with that, diverticulitis and diverticulosis. It's not something you heal from very quickly. Your body has to make major adjustments."

Should Lesnar decide to return to the UFC, he is expected to cover well for Velasquez. He is still the biggest pay-per-view draw in the history of the UFC.
