Ebola Virus Symptoms, Facts & Outbreak in USA: 'Epidemic is a Form of Population Control', Says Chris Brown

It seems that Chris Brown is as concerned about the spread of the Ebola Virus as the next person, and he has been thinking about the spread of the disease for a while.

According to Fox News, the singer was concerned enough about the spread of the disease that he took his theory to Twitter, saying that the deadly epidemic is a form of population control. He posted on the microblogging site, "I don't know...But I think this Ebola epidemic is a form of population control S--t is getting crazy bruh."

A few minutes later, he changed his mind about his crazy tweet and said that he's just going to "shut up" about the topic. Seems that the singer has been watching too many dystopian movies as of late. (The "Hunger Games," anyone?)

On a more serious note, a second person in the United States has tested positive for the Ebola virus. A healthcare worker in Texas was said to have been infected with the disease. The patient, Nina Pham, was one of the nurses who helped care for Thomas Eric Duncan, the first Ebola patient in the U.S., who recently died from the disease.

According to USA Today, Pham, who graduated from the Texas Christian University in 2010, is the first known person to contract the disease in the U.S. According to the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Tom Frieden, Pham is "clinically stable."

By the evening after her symptoms were confirmed, Pham received a transfusion of plasma from Texas physician, Kent Brantly, who survived the deadly virus.

Although a second infection will not be considered as an outbreak of the disease yet, there are around 48 people who had direct contact with Duncan outside of the hospital and are currently under observation, said a report from The Guardian. The report also stated that another person who had direct contact with Pham is also being monitored, as is her dog.

According to the Los Angeles Times, over 4000 people already died from the disease in West Africa, where it is the most active. About 43 has died from Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo, but it is said to be unrelated to the outbreak.

The virus has also spread to the next continent. According to a report from WHO, one person has died and another tested positive, while a total of 15 people are still under observation in Spain.
