Whenever the Oscars is fast approaching, everybody seems to go gaga over so many things: the Best Actor- Actress- Picture runaway winners, the Oscars' red carpet best-dressed and worst-dressed celebs, the show's bloopers and production numbers.
But in recent years, one of the most anticipated Academy Awards moments is the announcement of its host (plus his or her actual hosting performance, of course).
Following her historic, record-breaking (Oscars) selfie with other stars, plus her phenomenal emceeing performance at last year's Oscars, Academy Awards 2014 host Ellen DeGeneres is rumored to once again host AA2015.
According to HollywoodLife.com, the witty and popular host of the Ellen DeGeneres Show is being tapped by the award show's producers to make a comeback in its 2015 ceremonies.
"Ellen DeGeneres has been invited back to host next year's Academy Awards show. She did such an incredible job on the last show that producers had no hesitation at all asking her to return," said the site's insider.
"Ellen has all the right ingredients in making the best host for the show. She's a treat to watch and a treat to work with," the source explained.
It could be recalled how the comedienne garnered international praise and admiration after showing her brilliance and par excellence emceeing skills in the highly-respected awards ceremonies last year, proving her versatility and natural talent in hosting.
Her performance could even well be said to put Oscars hosting to a totally different level that Variety.com even named her the Best Oscars Host Since Billy Crystal.
DeGeneres also left a mark in the history social media after her selfie with other stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep, and Kevin Spacey, among others garnered the most retweets in Twitter, causing the site to crash.
That particular selfie was valued at a whopping $800M - $1 Billion, according to Paris-based global advertising and marketing giant, Publicis Groupe.
So, whether or not Degeneres would really host the award's 2015 version, she surely deserves a place in the annals of the Oscars, don't you think?
