One of the main highlights for every season of "Dancing with the Stars" is Movie Night, and from this season's group of celebrities, expectations were particularly high.
For the episode, each pair was able to perform new dance styles dedicated to their favorite films, and although Jonathan Bennett did not exactly have ballroom moves to show for his biggest movie segment, that does not mean he didn't have other options.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Kevin Hart judged on the episode in place of Len Goodman and unlike the regular judge, he was more generous with the scores for Monday's episode.
Here are some of the highlight's for this season's movie night:
New dance styles have shown up for the episode, with commdiginews.com counting them as the Viennese Waltz, the Argentine Tango, Paso Doble, Contemporary, and the Cha Cha Cha, Foxtrot, and Jazz.
Lea Thompson enjoyed herself on the dance floor with "Back to the Future" Cha Cha Cha dance moves, after her hiatus. She said via Time Magazine that "Being on the show is all about revisiting my first love. I really loved ballet, but I wasn't good enough to be a ballet dancer. This is about enjoying the joy of the dance and not being so uptight about it. I feel revitalized by this. It's so much fun."
Thompsons' best girl friend on the show, Janel Parrish, did not disappoint, either. The "Pretty Little Liars" star blew the judges away with her jazz to "West Side Story" with partner Val Chmerkovskiy, and was told by Carrie Ann Inaba that she "gives good sex." Whether or not it was intended as a compliment, Janel and Val earned their first perfect score of the season.
The other couple to earn a perfect score was Bethany Mota and Derek Hough, who honored "Singing in the Rain" for the episode. With their large umbrella props and despite the bulky ankle brace, the pair still managed to jump over the obstacles thrown their way.
Despite two couples getting perfect scores in the episode, Randy Couture and Karina Smirnoff's performance was a bit... rocky. Ironic as it is, their dance to "Rocky III" was stiff and rigid, and sometimes, you really can't take the title literally, especially if it involves dancing. EW recaps said that even for a paso doble, Randy needs to refocus his mindset to go back to the knockout dance that was present in week one.
So which pair is your favorite for the episode?
