NYdailynews.com writes that the Nets are the only team in the NBA with a European owner so it was no surprise that the roster features growing talent from abroad. There are currently four European players on the team - Teletovic, Kirilenko, Karasev and Bogdanovic. The Nets are particularly hoping that Bogdanovic would develop well into the role of starting forward to fill the void left by Paul Pierce.
Heading into training camp, the Nets are still hoping that Deron Williams would rediscover his form and confidence which he showed once in Utah. There is also a big question regarding the frontcourt rotation since coach Lionel Hollins intends to make Kevin Garnett a starter if he is healthy enough for the task. Brook Lopez also needs to stay healthy and step up to prove that he can carry the team to greater heights.
As to Plumlee's transition from center to "forward/center", the 7'1" previously said, "I'm definitely comfortable at power forward. I'm a very good passer; I can see the floor, and I can put the ball on the floor. I don't know what they're looking to do, if they're trying to stay small but what made what work last year was Paul, so I can't imagine we do that again. I think we would play two bigs and how coach Hollins has played traditionally has been that way."
He also added that he can complement Lopez and Garnett, with the two stars being the primary scorers.
