When the Jonas Brothers rose to stardom years ago, they took pride in their religion and beliefs, and that included waiting until marriage to have sex.
As a physical proof to this promise, all three of them started wearing their purity rings.
A couple of years ago, however, rumors started that Nick and Joe backed up on their promise, but nobody was able to confirm if there's any truth to it.
Recently though, Nick opened up during a HuffPost interview, confirming that he is, indeed, not wearing the ring on his finger anymore.
Nick said, "This is a real growth in me and not something I'm doing anymore. "But I've got my set of values, things that are important to me now at this point in my life and that's all that matters. I've had an incredibly intense journey with faith and religion and my own growth. My belief in God is still very strong and important to me as a person and I think that's all that should matter. I grew up in a church environment and still have love for the church."
The youngest brother is currently dating former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, although it is unsure whether he lost his virginity to her or to his other famous exes, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez. (But in case you are wondering, Joe Jonas admitted in 2013 in E! that he lost his virginity at 20 with Ashley Greene, while according to a separate article from E! News, Kevin kept his pledge and did not have sex until he was married to his wife, Daniella.)
Nick reaffirmed his beliefs, saying, "What's important now is my relationship with God, and that I not judge and that I not be judged."
He did not just grow in faith, but in his career as well.
According to Us Magazine, the former Disney star has started modeling and starting his solo career. He also divulged more into acting and will be stripping down the series, Kingdom.
Even though he had strong ties with the church, he said that he's not worried that his role will be against his faith, despite the racy scenes involved.
When asked whether or not he's nervous about his parents seeing him in sex scenes for the role, he replied, "No, I wasn't. There's one scene in particular that I'm curious for people to see ... because it was such an emphasis like 'Are you ready for this scene?'"
He also added, "the emotional bill of it is pretty important, but also the physicality is kind of uncomfortable."
What do you think about Nick ditching his purity ring?
