Nike Lebron 12 Release Date, Pics & Price: Where to Buy?

The Nike LeBron 12 was officially unveiled on September 16, after several months of previews and speculation.

According to Nikeinc.com, the latest model in the line focuses on the explosiveness of the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar. Features were also included to ensure that the shoes have natural flexibility, superior cushioning, and harnessed support --key traits that suit LeBron's style of play.

Kelly Hibler, Nike Basketball VP of Footwear, said about the shoes, "This is Nike at its best: we take the insights from a world-class athlete in LeBron James to inform forward-thinking designs and create the most innovative shoes. We've combined the art and science of engineering in the LeBron 12 to advance game of basketball's best player."

In an article by Bleacher Report, the Nike LeBron 12 features a hexagonal system that allocates Zoom Air on various regions of the foot, compared to the traditional single Zoom Air unit on previous models. There are five visible hexagonally-shaped Zoom Air bags, with each bag containing thousands of fibers which provide both flexibility and ultimate cushioning.

Seven colorways were introduced in the past months leading to the official revelation of the Nike LeBron 12. The first colorway to release will be the Nike LeBron 12 "NSRL", which is the lead colorway in the line, inspired by the process of converting data into design and creating the best-performing basketball shoes. The "NSRL" colorway is described on the label as "Turquoise/Grey-Crimson-Black". It will launch on October 11 worldwide. The second colorway "Heart of a Lion" was inspired by the brave heart of LeBron James through mental and physical challenges in his 11 years in the game. The colorway is described on the label as "Red/White-Crimson-Black" and will be available on October 31, writes Sole Collector.

The "Dunk Force" was inspired by LeBron's powerful dunks, particularly his signature tomahawk style attack which was compared to the force and speed of the rotor blade of a helicopter. It will release on November 11, 2014. The LeBron 12 "Instinct" focused on LeBron's accurate moves, extraordinary speed and high basketball IQ, which was comparable to a hummingbird. The colorway will release on November 22. "Six Meridians" was made with ancient Chinese reflexology in mind. It will launch on November 29. "Trillion Dollar Man" emphasizes LeBron's special talents and excellent work ethics and will release on December 1. The seventh colorway is the "Data" which highlights LeBron as the most dominant player in the NBA at present and having the statistics to prove it.

The Nike LeBron 12 will be available at a retail price of $200. Nike.com, Foot Locker, Eastbay and Finish Line will be offering the shoes in various sizes on a general release.
