Admit it: "Gilmore Girls" was one of the best shows ever produced on television.
Fortunately for the fans, all seven seasons (and 153 glorious episodes) are making a comeback - in Netflix nonetheless. According to Variety, it will be available in full, so you can binge watch all the episodes you want, for however long you want.
For those who do want to start watching the series, it will be available on the streaming site beginning October 1, and it follows the lives of savvy single mom, Lorelai Gilmore, (Melissa McCarthy) and her level-headed daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel).
If you think it's another one of those exaggeratedly dramatic soap operas, think again. According to Time.com, it is one of the best shows in recent history. Melissa McCarthy portrayed her first major role in the series, and it paved the way for other stars to shine, including Supernatural's Jared Padalecki, One Tree Hill's Chad Michael Murray, and the OC's Adam Brody.
For the "Gilmore Girls" fans, here are some of the best moments from the show that you'd want to relieve all over again:
1) The Breakup: Part 2 (Season 1, Episode 17)
Breaking up with who you thought was the love of your life is one of the worst feelings ever, and what she went through was relatable for most people, so it broke the hearts of every "Gilmore Girl" fan as well. But Rory refused to wallow in her heartbreak. Good for her, and it's an example we all should follow.
2) Rory's Dance (Season 1, Episode 9)
Despite being what is supposed to be a magical night, Rory's dance was a trainwreck, with an epic fight between Tristan and Dean and Lorelai and Emily, it is one action-packed episode.
3) Those are Strings, Pinocchio (Season 3, Episode 22)
This would have made a great ending for the entire series, leaving us with Rory going to Yale, Lorelai and Sookie starting their business, and Jess heading to his own path. However, the most memorable would still have to be Rory's speech, which she dedicated to her mom. Deny all you want, but it surely tugged at your heartstrings.
As for the fan's clamor for the movie version, there are still no talks about it, but hey, if they can get a kick-starter campaign started, maybe it may become a reality. After all, that happened to "Veronica Mars," so why not "Gilmore Girls," too, right?
