The Seattle Seahawks dominated the Green Bay Packers in the NFL season opener on September 4 at the CenturyLink Field.

In a report by NFL.com, the final score was 36-16, thanks to Marshawn Lynch, who made a couple of touchdowns and Russell Wilson, who made two touchdown passes. Although Wilson finished with a substandard 6.8 YPA, some fans already made early predictions that he would be the MVP of the new season.

Lynch's first touchdown was made with 3:41 remaining before halftime to give Seattle a 17-10 lead, NFL.com adds. The second touchdown was made during the fourth quarter on their first play to extend the lead 29-10. He finished the game with 110 yards on 21 carries, even allowing the Packers to tackle him a few times.

SB Nation writes that Wilson was consistent in locating receiver, Percy Harvin. A lot of fans noticed that Harvin was healthy and showed off the speed he was known for. He finished the game catching seven passes from Wilson for 59 yards and rushing 41 yards.

For the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers made one touchdown and threw for 189 yards. The Packers showed some aggression in their offense but the Seahawks defense was formidable, SB Nation notes.

According to Fieldgulls.com, the initial two defensive drives of the Seahawks were strong so the Packers had to settle for punts. Earl Thomas committed a turnover which gave Green Bay an early advantage of 7-3.

The Seahawks, however, recovered immediately, Fieldgulls adds. Ricardo Lockette was able to get away from a tackle to score a 33-yard touchdown. The Packers kicked a field goal to tie the game 10-10. The next play was by Seattle, where Lynch scored a touchdown to give them the lead 17-10 at halftime. Seattle's defense was great at the half, having surrendered only 4.1 yards per play. Their offense was 7.9 yards per play.

After halftime, Byron Maxwell intercepted and converted it into 3 points. Lynch scored his second touchdown to give the team a 29-10 advantage. The Packers retaliated with a touchdown by Randall Cobb via a drive for 82 yards. The last successful offensive attempt was by the Seahawks. Derek Coleman scored the final touchdown via a pass to finish the game at 36-16, Fieldgulls reports.

Seattle only gave up 255 yards while defending. In terms of offense, the Seahawks tallied close to 400 yards, 207 on the ground. Fieldgulls says they recorded four penalties in the end.
