The person people thought to be the least unlikely individual who would be on Chris Brown's side as he pleads guilty in his Washington DC assault case is on-again, off-again girlfriend, Karrueche Tran.
Tran was spotted attending Breezy's trial in DC this week, as the beleaguered rapper is trying to resolve his remaining court battle. Brown was charged by a plaintiff who claimed to have been assaulted after trying to get into a picture with him and two other girls outside a hotel in the area, Daily Mail said. Brown was reportedly sentenced to time served.
Brown looked somber in his grey suit, but he didn't wear a tie for the occasion. The only thing flashy about Breezy was his stud earring on his right ear and a pair of tinted glasses. Tran walked by his side, looking fit in a gray metallic dress.
TMZ said that while in court, Brown had apologized and expressed his intention to get back to his music, which has long suffered since his 2009 assault case with his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna.
Tran's show of support for the troubled rapper was odd, considering the fact that she gave hints that she has ended things officially with him this year, The Hollywood Gossip said. A source said that although Tran was jealous over her boyfriend's feelings for Rihanna who kept on liking the latter's social media posts, the last straw was that Brown was like an immature child in the relationship.
Ahead of Brown's court date, Mirror UK observed that Tran made known to the world that all is well between her and Brown. She recently shared on Instagram a snap of her and her boyfriend along with a couple of friends.
On the other hand, a source told Hollywood Life that even if the two looked like they're going strong after that brief split in August, it is most likely that there would be another breakup on the road.
The source explained, "He knows what Karrueche wants, he's not stupid. He really doesn't want to make a commitment and then somehow mess it up and break her heart. (Chris is) not trying to disrespect or hurt her, and the best way for him not to do that is to either not f**k with her on that type of level or tell her straight up, here's what I can offer you but I'm doing to do x, y and z on the side."
