The rift between boxer Floyd Mayweather and rapper T.I. continues to escalate.
In a report by MTV.com, the two had an altercation in Las Vegas in May 2014 after rumors surfaced that Mayweather allegedly had an illicit affair with T.I.'s wife, Tiny. Both Mayweather and Tiny denied the accusations and said that it was all a huge misunderstanding.
Mayweather previously said, "I've never slept with her, I never kissed her, never touched her in no appropriate way."
T.I. responded in the best way he knows how - through rap. The Grammy Award winner is working on his upcoming album, "Paperwork," which is expected to release on October 21, 2014.
On September 1, T.I., the CEO of Grand Hustle, showcased a remix of the song, "Am I Wrong" by Nico & Vinz, which is included in a new mixtape called "Goodnight Don't Exist in ATL".
The lyrics went:
"Check my record, n-a, never have I backed down/ Really undefeated in the real world, clown." Fans could not help but speculate that "undefeated" referred to Floyd Mayweather, who has an unbeaten boxing record.
In the same MTV report, the rapper also began to rhyme about a love triangle which closely resembled the rumor circulating between T.I., Floyd and Tiny.
"Sucka, if I got a woman and you touch her/ She supposed to stay with you if you a bad motherf-ker/ She come back to me/ As far as I can see/ You all she really needed to see what she wanna be,"
When asked about the past argument between him and Mayweather, T.I. said, in another interview with MTV: "Respect man. Nobody, no time, nowhere gonna disrespect me, no exceptions. I don't care who it is."
According to hotnewhiphop.com, T.I. was interviewed by Bootleg Kev of 94.1 where the rapper talked about the artists he worked with in "Paperwork". He shared that Iggy Azalea, Trae Tha Truth, Jeezy, Problem Rick, Pharrell, Nipsey Hussle, The-Dream and Lil Boosie will be featured in the album. He further referred to Jeezy, Nelly, Killer Mike and Iggy Azalea as his realest friends in the industry.
But when he was asked about Floyd Mayweather, T.I. responded, "I don't start talking about clowns after 8 o'clock."
Marcos Maidana, who Mayweather will be fighting again on September 13, 2014, must have also liked T.I.''s new description of the undefeated boxer. He said in a report by Boxing News 24, "The glove incident was a circus. It doesn't bother me. If I'm going to beat him, I can do it with any gloves. I'm going to take this clown's undefeated record. He thinks he's going to intimidate me, but I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid of anyone on this earth, of no man. I don't give a [expletive] about this guy."
