Finally, the teaser from "American Horror Story: Freak Show" is among us, and this time, it's the real deal, considering that the ten-second video was tweeted by AHS creator, Ryan Murphy, himself.

Unlike the fan-made trailer that had AHS fans fooled in July, the new teaser is short and direct to the point, but that does not mean it's any less creepy.

It simply features a prickly, amphibian-like hand opening to reveal tickets to the freak show.

Nothing crazy, right? But it's nonetheless creepy, worthy to be part of Murphy's spooky anthology series.

Buzzfeed has noted that Murphy has been tight-lipped about the plot but with less than two months before its premiere, more news are starting to tumble out.

"Freak Show" is the subtitle for the fourth season and it will be another period piece set during the 50s, Buzzfeed added. The story revolves around the titular attraction in Florida, run by Elsa Mars (played by Jessica Lange) and features a pair of conjoined twins named Bette and Dot Tattler (both played by Sarah Paulson), and a strongman named Dell Toledo (played by Michael Chiklis).

Evan Peters and Frances Conroy will also be in the story, Buzzfeed noted, but their roles are yet to be revealed. Other former AHS stars will be making appearances as well, including Emma Roberts, Denis O'Hare, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Gabourey Sidibe, and Jamie Brewer. First time players will include Patti LaBelle and Wes Bentley.

And the best part? Murphy revealed on Entertainment Weekly that the new season will feature a Clown Killer, so called because he will be the "most terrifying clown ever!"

Unlike "Coven" though, this new season will be darker. Murphy said about "Freak Show" that "It was always a concept that Jessica and I talked about really early on. It was always her favorite one, which I thought was funny. I've had many different versions that I've run by her. I just love it. It feels really right. I thought it was going to be light but it's turning out to be quite terrifyingly dark, which it feels much more like the Asylum season. But look - if you have a character named the Clown Killer, it's going to be dark."

Oh, and a date has finally been set for the series, too.

American Horror Story: Freak Show will deliver the freaks on television on October 8 on FX.
