Anna Kendrick is undoubtedly one of Hollywood's most beautiful young ladies to date. She is also known for her sharp, witty banter on social media; and the combination of smarts and sexy in a woman is usually bound to catch a lot of eyes from men.
So it was no surprise when various media outfits, including Daily Mail, reported that she was dating "Game of Thrones" star Alfie Allen. The two were reported to have enjoyed a lovely date in Las Vegas last week. Allen, who is the brother of British pop star Lily Allen, is an award-nominanted actor whose film credits are impressive. According to his IMDb profile, he has starred in "Atonement" with James McAvoy and Keira Knightley; "The Other Boleyn Girl" with Scarlet Johansson, Eric Bana and Natalie Portman; and "Elizabeth" with Cate Blanchett. Allen certainly seems to be a perfect rebound boyfriend after Kendrick's last one, British director Edgar Wright of "Shaun of the Dead."
But the actress did not find the reports pleasing, and so when Gawker tweeted their breaking news, the "Pitch Perfect 2" star decided to call it a day and stop the madness.
She tweeted back, "@Gawker Ahh, this has been hilarious and all but, nope. My apologies to Mr. Allen, who must be equally confused. :)"
Interestingly, that exchange is no longer on Gawker's nor Kendrick's Twitter feeds. The online publication had tweeted a retraction after the actress' remark, which read, "Anna Kendrick says she's NOT actually dating Alfie 'Theon Greyjoy' Allen. Loyal allies of the Starks rejoice."
On the other hand, Kendrick pinned a September 2, 2013 tweet referring to an E! Online report about her that must have been directed to the dating rumors, which read, "For someone with such an intense need to be liked you'd think I would have figured out how to be less of an asshole."
Meanwhile, Kendrick has shared her thoughts on dating in Hollywood, as Daily Mail recalled her interview with Elle in July. She told the tabloid that she has not been "hit on" since 2009, where she first gained buzz after being nominated for an Oscar opposite George Clooney in the quirky drama "Up in the Air."
She told Elle as quoted by Daily Mail, "I'm lucky that I've never had a crisis about whether the only reason I'm successful is because I'm crazy hot."
The actress is currently buried in seven(!) commitments, and is set to return as a sophomore leading the Barden Bellas in "Pitch Perfect 2." Moreover, she will be returning on the big screen as Cinderella in the highly-anticipated musical film "Into the Woods" alongside Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt and Chris Pine.
