Rapper, Nelly, will be appearing in his first reality TV show, collaborating with BET network.
The "Country Grammar" singer will also serve as the executive producer of the untitled series and will appear together with new girlfriend, Shantel Jackson, Floyd Mayweather's former flame.
The air date of the show is expected to be announced in a few weeks.
The International Business Times writes that the show will have eight, one hour episodes that will focus on the rapper's life and routine, delving into his career as a hip-hop artist, a fashion businessman and a co-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA. It will also feature his life as a doting father and a guardian to his late sister's kids.
Nelly's relationship with Jackson has been controversial, added IBT, considering his previous verbal debacle with Mayweather. Previously, Jackson was engaged to Mayweather and when the aspiring actress and model was seen watching an NBA game with Nelly, Mayweather took to Instagram to air out his frustration. The boxer and Jackson separated earlier in 2014.
Mayweather stated that he broke up with Jackson because she allegedly aborted their twin babies, noted IBT. Mayweather added that Jackson said a lot of negative things about Nelly and that the rapper had negative things to say about him too.
In a report by Christian Post, Nelly responded on Instagram and Twitter, saying that he was not friends with Mayweather and that it was interesting to note how his comments deeply affected the boxer a day before his fight against Victor Ortiz.
Although Nelly and Jackson have yet to confirm that they are already in a serious relationship, it was obvious for fans to speculate that they are, indeed, a couple after Nelly made several special gestures to woo Jackson. According to Fashion Style He took her on a trip to Amsterdam, partied in New York City and spent time in the Hamptons with her. Jackson even brought some of her family and friends during the trip.
Jackson was reportedly delighted and thanked Nelly on Instagram, "I have had more fun this weekend than I have in years. I am so grateful that I got to spend my birthday with my family and friends, all thanks to this amazing man @derrtymo Thank you so much for making my weekend incredible. Nothing is more important than having real people in your life and no amount of money can buy real happiness. My weekend was priceless and filled with great moments and memories. #missjackson #leo #birthdayweekend #family #friends #hamptons #nyc #1oaksouthhamptons."
