If there's one New Direction member who would definitely be gracing his presence in all episodes of the final season of "Glee" it would be aspiring model Sam Evans. Talking to E! News, Chord Overstreet revealed that he is expecting to be doing his celebrity impressions in all episodes of Ryan Murphy's musical series hit.
At a premiere night of the movie "The Expendables," Overstreet told the entertainment news outlet, "I assume I will be in all of the episodes...I know I am back in Ohio at the school. I know the writers are three to four episodes in right now and from what I've heard it's really fun stuff."
Overstreet's appearance at the premiere was different from the clean-shaven character his fans knew at "Glee." Sporting a scraggly beard, the actor wore a suit without a tie to support his roommate Glen Powell, who starred alongside Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham in the action film, Daily Mail reported.
When he was prodded further to spill some spoilers about the show's final season, he declined and said, "If it were up to me, I would just openly tell all about it!"
On the other hand, Overstreet was more open about the show's details on Twitter. On August 9, a fan tweeted about the possibility of him and co-star Diana Agron doing a number on the show. Overstreet replied that he would love to. Ahead of that tweet, another fan tweeted a video clip of him and Agron performing a number, of which the actor retweeted for the rest of his 1.29 million followers to see.
Daily Mail said that Overstreet and the original cast members of the show will be definitely making some new friends in Lima, Ohio, as it has been reported that the show is currently casting five more people to add to the fictional high school acapella group. All five of them would be playing sophomores on the show, and two of them would be new inclusions to the Cheerio cheerleaders. The group will include a gay football sta named Spencer and a plain Jane who will be Lea Michele's Rachel Berry character counterpart. It would also be interesting who would be playing Roderick, whom the British tabloid described as a person with the voice of Otis Redding.
If the new cast members would serve as Rachel's plan to relaunch New Directions, it does certainly fit. This has been confirmed by Michael Ausiello of TVLine, who explained, "Actually, that rumor happens to be... true! We will, however, find out what became of the TV pilot she was developing with Bob's Burgers‘ Kristen Schaal and Community‘s Jim Rash. We might even catch a glimpse of the final product. (I'm guessing its failure is what leads to the homecoming.)"
The 13-episode final season of "Glee" will debut at midseason on Fox.
