Fans of Niall Horan can now breathe a sigh of relief. There is one less gal in the list of women being linked to the One Direction crooner.
Brooke Vincent, who is one of the cast of the British soap, "Coronation Street," denied rumors about her hooking up with the singer. Metro said that the two were linked in 2011 when Horan admitted that she and Demi Lovato were his ideal women.
Vincent, who started to appear in "Coronation Street" when she was 11 years old, insisted in an interview to The Sun on Sunday that she is just really good friends with Horan.
"(Chelse midfielder) Josh [McEachran] was my first boyfriend and we both decided to call it a day. We are still friends but that's basically it. Now I'm single again there's lots of speculation about who I'm dating and what's going on. Niall has been my friend since he started on The X Factor but because I'm single and he said he fancies me it's assumed we'll get together. I've been to One Direction concerts loads of times - with Josh, my cousins, my sister - because he's a mate. But nothing has happened between us."
Meanwhile, Horan doesn't seem to mind the revelations made by Vincent, who plays a lesbian on the U.K. television soap. MTV UK reports that Horan nowadays is "pretty taken" by Thalia Heffernan, a gorgeous statuesque model signed by London Management Agency in Sydney, Australia. The pair reportedly shared a kiss back home in Ireland last month.
"Thalia is a really gorgeous girl inside and out. Niall is pretty taken with her. They are still in touch and get on really well. Niall's never in one place for long and Thalia travels the world modelling so it will be a case of whenever they can manage it," a source told The Sun.
The One Direction singer might still be pining for the one person who would be his life and joy.
He told Teen Now, "You have to find the one who likes you for being normal, not just for being in One Direction. I'm still waiting for her to come around. I am the same as anyone. I'm just waiting for the right person to stand in front of me. Being single doesn't mean that you're weak. It means you're strong enough to wait for what you deserve."
Horan sent fans' hearts fluttering when he said that he can also fall for an admirer of the band.
"If she's a fan of the band then that's a bonus," he added.
