A number of players were already confirmed to be part of the mode such as Andre Iguodala, Al Jefferson, Channing Fry, Thaddeus Young, Al Horford, Brook Lopez, Brandon Knight, Trey Burke and Kevin Durant, the current MVP and cover star of "2K15".

The game is set to launch on October 7, 2014 and will be playable on Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. Players can also pre-order the game online to get a number of bonuses. It is available for pre-order at $59.99 and players get to receive the "KD MVP Bonus Pack", which includes 5,000 virtual currency, two MyTEAM card packs, a Kevin Durant Throwback MyTEAM card and MyPLAYER leg sleeves inspired by Durant himself.

Gamers already shared their anticipation for the upcoming game and made a number of requests and expectations on Facebook and Twitter. According to Complex.com, gamers wanted to have an improved MyPlayer mode. They suggest that the game makes the career of their customized basketball star more dynamic. Also, gamers hope that the game features some of the defining moments in the stars' legacies to make everything more realistic and fun. Since voice-recording has become quite popular in the recent versions, fans expect some famous and customized catchphrases mentioned by the commentators to make the game more exciting. Also, it would be fun to have players react to the gamer's calls if they feel that it is right or wrong. Decisions made by players would result to different reactions on the court.
