More talks are circulating that the Minnesota Timberwolves and Cleveland Cavaliers are getting closer to a deal involving Kevin Love and Andrew Wiggins.

In a report by Yahoo! Sports, Glen Taylor, owner of the Timberwolves, said that Love will most likely be traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers by August 24, 2014 the latest, although he wanted the power forward to stay in Minnesota. He said, "I'm saying it's most likely because Kevin has made it pretty clear that that's what he wants to do."

As for the No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins, he was signed by the Cavaliers on July 24, 2014. The contract was for four years, but following NBA rules, the rookie can be traded after 30-day waiting period.

Wiggins said, "I just want to play for a team that wants me. So whichever team wants me I'll play for." He added, "At the end of the day you have to remember that the NBA is a business before anything. I'm a rookie. I really don't have too much say."

According to Bleacher Report, the Timberwolves will also benefit if Wiggins move in. Aside from avoiding possible conflicts with the disgruntled Kevin Love who badly wants to be in the playoffs, putting Wiggins in the small forward position will be complimentary to the presence of point guard Ricky Rubio. If Wiggins stayed in Cleveland, he will have to divide his potential with fellow No. 1 picks LeBron James and Kyrie Irving. In Minnesota, he can explore and fully realize his potential as the leading scorer.

Taylor said, "I think when you move somebody like Kevin, who's been an All-Star, that you've got to get a number of players on your team that have the potential of replacing him. Flip has looked at this team and offensively, he's got a pretty good team. Defensively, it's got to get better, so I think that's where some of the areas will be replaced."

Both Love and Wiggins expressed that they wanted to play alongside LeBron James. If a deal should push through, back-to-back Toronto-born No. 1 picks would be transferred to Minnesota. The Wolves are also looking at Thaddeus Young to replace Kevin Love. Previously, the Wolves wanted Klay Thompson but when it became clear that the Golden State Warriors would not release him even for Love, Minnesota looked closer at the Cavs' offer.
