Amidst rumors that one of Hollywood's most adorable couples, Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence, have broken up, Hoult, who is in Japan at the moment, filming for the upcoming futuristic love story, "Equals," was spotted dining casually with co-star Kristen Stewart. Is it a date, or just a friendly dinner? This what the Internet is trying to figure out.
According to Perez Hilton, Hoult was spotted by Twitter user @turducken09, who immediately posted a photo of him getting friendly with the Twilight star at the Tsukiji Fish Market in Daiwa on July 31.
In the photo, the two were sitting side-by-side enjoying fresh sushi. Based on the image, anyone could really speculate anything. But since this is all happening in the middle of rumors that Hoult has allegedly dumped JLaw due to their super busy schedules and the latter's "inflated ego," one can easily think that, yes, this could be a romantic date.
While neither of the powerful couple's camps has spoken officially about a split, this rumor has actually been going on for months. Just recently, Page Six reported that Hoult was seen sitting "arm-in-arm in a booth" with model, Riley Keough, at the "Philo Prom" party. The same report quoted unnamed sources, saying that the two had "looked cozy" but that Hoult had also been talking to other girls at the party. So, again, it's all speculation until proven true.
However, a report by Hollywood Life quoted an insider as saying that the power couple have, indeed, broken up because Hoult hates dating an A-List actress. "That was the most hurtful to Jen because she's worked so hard for her achievements and she's so proud of her career. But Nic wants a more low-key girlfriend and Riley fits the bill." This rumor was quickly doused, though, because it seems that Riley is dating Ben Smith-Peterson, a stuntman.
Going back to the possibility of Kristen Stewart, who is single, dating Hoult -- it IS possible, says Radar Online. If Hoult has truly broken up with Jen, and he's going to be in Japan long enough for a friendship to develop with K-Stew, then this sushi date could mark the start of something new. Plus, they're playing lovers in the movie.
Kristen is a friend of Jen's, though, so observers can only guess how this all pans out. K-Stew is also an A-list celebrity -- so that could be complicated if it is to be believed that Hoult wants a quiet life. The actress has been single since 2013 after the very public split with Robert Pattinson -- after she was caught cheating on him with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders.
