Say it isn't so. Did Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult break up?
The news has been making the online rounds lately amid news surrounding the follow up to their latest successful film together, "X-Men: Days of Future Past." Uproxx reported that the two have split up because of the Oscar-winning actress' out-of-control ego. Celebrity Fix even went a bit farther and claimed that Lawrence's ego has pushed her hunk of a British boyfriend to land in the arms of lovely Riley Keough at No.8's Philo Prom party in New York City last week.
The gossip news site's source also said that Lawrence has been allegedly hard at work to try to get her beau back, but to no avail. The insider added, "Jen is still desperately trying to get back with Nicholas after he broke up with her. They're still talking but Nicholas is moving on. He hates how in love with fame Jen is, and he told her he hates dating an A-list actress. That was the most hurtful to Jen because she's worked so hard for her achievements and she's so proud of her career. But Nic wants a more low-key girlfriend and Riley fits the bill."
If this were true, then this would not be the first time the couple had broken up. It could be recalled that the two have reconnected after a brief breakup in 2012, and also saw Lawrence's star rocket high, thanks to her film success.
Moreoever, the source went on and said that Hoult was becoming uncomfortable with the limelight, and would rather date someone who isn't, to put it mildly, that famous.
Enter Keough, whose credit to fame is modeling for some high-end brands and bit of acting in indie films. The source added, "Riley is into acting in indies and not playing the fame game. She also spends a huge amount of time in the UK because her mom Lisa Marie Presley lives there. Nic dated Riley when he and Jen were on their last break too and he is ready to give their relationship a shot."

Yahoo Celebrity UK cited an interview of Hoult with V Men magazine recently, of which the actor discussed how he and Lawrence managed to stay together. The 24 year-old also acknowledged his girlfriend's celebrity status and was quoted as saying, "I am just kind of her bystander in many ways. Enjoy the good times but don't get swept away with it. ... I think that's something she's capable of doing and what's makes her special."
