Among all the teams eyeing on Minnesota Timberwolves forward, Kevin Love, two teams are on top of the list - the Miami Heat and the Chicago Bulls.
According to ESPN, experts are speculating whether Love would perform better with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving or alongside Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose. The Cleveland Cavaliers expect that they can make a deal happen by the end of the offseason, even if it means trading their recent No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett plus a future round pick.
The Chicago Bulls, however, are also making a late move to possibly acquire Love. Nevertheless, both teams would have a greater chance of making the playoffs or even making the 2015 NBA Finals with the All-Star in their roster.
Experts have mixed opinions about Kevin Love moving to Chicago. Some stated that Love would be the third big man in Chicago, together with Noah and Pau Gasol. The three of them could be very dangerous in terms of defense but the Bulls would have a huge advantage in terms of passing. Pau Gasol and Kevin Love conveniently garner double-doubles in games while Noah hits a triple-double every now and then.
Should Derrick Rose be healthy for the upcoming season, Chicago would become one of the best in terms of ball rotation. Others, however, said that Love is not very good on defense and the Bulls might lose the depth they acquired in the past few weeks.
In a report by Slam Online, the Bulls made a huge offer on July 23, 2014, which involved Doug McDermott, Nikola Mirotic and Taj Gibson among others.
Fans and experts also have mixed opinions should Love join the Cleveland Cavaliers. Initially, people responded positively, saying that the Cavs would become one of the most offensive teams in the league, considering how both LeBron James and Love averaged over 25 points per game in the past season.
Having Kyrie Irving may also result to score totals going over 100 points regularly. However, in a report by Cleveland.com, experts speculated that the Cleveland Cavaliers may be left without a bench. Letting go of Wiggins, Bennett and other members of the support team might put a lot of burden on the starting five.
LeBron has witnessed both Wiggins and Love play and seemed more interested in playing with Love. James has been aiming to be the first player after Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double in a season and perhaps, he is banking on Love to focus on scoring as he grabs more rebounds and dishes to other good scorers in the team.
Do you think Love will perform better in Miami or Chicago?
