WWE Battleground 2014 is the second in the series and will commence on July 20, featuring several big stars in the sport as well as the return of a few familiar faces.
1. Bray Wyatt vs. Chris Jericho
It has only been a few weeks since Chris Jericho returned to the ring although he appeared in top form. Wyatt previously attacked Jericho for being a false prophet. Jericho used to be a WWE champ and will meet someone who intends to do better. It will be a terrific match featuring a crowd-pleaser who is incredibly fast versus a dark force with raw power.
2. Fatal 4-Way
According to Bleacher Report, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match will follow a Fatal 4-Way match featuring John Cena, Roman Reigns, Kane and Randy Orton. Roman Reigns is quickly propelling himself to become a WWE World Heavyweight Champion but fans speculate that he will only be successful in 2015. Orton and Kane are the least likely to win the match and may eliminate each other under the orders of The Authority. Cena is the odds-on favorite although he may thereafter be beaten to a pulp by Brock Lesnar who makes a huge comeback to the show.
3. Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins
Rollins is the official holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase and can cash it in anytime to get a chance to fight the champion whenever he wants. Since The Shield separated, Rollins and Ambrose have been carrying bad blood which recently sent the latter to the hospital after The Authority attacked him. Fans expect Ambrose to have vengeance on WWE Battleground 2014. It will be a defining event for either of them to proceed to a solo career.
4. AJ Lee vs. Paige
In a report by the International Business Times, the Divas Championship Match will feature AJ Lee against Paige. In the past year, they were the only two to have carried the women's title. They plan to settle the score once and for all on July 20. Although the story buildup between the two is considered as somewhat lacking, fans still expect the match to be among the most exciting on pay-per-view.
5. The Usos vs. The Wyatt Family
The two families will collide in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Tag Team Title Match. The tag team has been known as a crowd favorite in past events. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper worked hard to contend for the belts. Fans speculate that the Wyatt Family will ultimately emerge victorious
